tests broken due to transparent enabling of encryption for user1

due to !7 (merged) user1 gets encryption enabled automatically, which breaks some of the tests. this needs some thinking. ideally we would want all of those to be tested:

  • user with crypt from the beginning
  • user manually migrating
  • user transparently migrating
